Week two heartworm treatment

It's week two with Darla and she has settled down a bit so she gets more quiet time now but still has moments when she gets excited about something and has to be calmed down. Two more weeks of this and she can be herself, the energetic little gal I know she is. Such a personality! She will listen intently when you talk to her. She is curious and outgoing.I put a little treat in her crate at night and she goes right in,sleeps all night. She has gained a little weight which she needed.

Thursday

Darla enjoying some sunshine.

One week now since Darla's heartworm treatment and we have the highest hope that she will recover completely. It's obvious that she will be a lively companion and so very loving. She deserves the absolute BEST family. So well behaved and anxious to please. So PRETTY.

Tuesday

New pictures and a note from Darla's foster mom............

Darla is doing surprisingly well after her heartworm treatment. She has a great appetite and will potty outside if she is taken out frequently which I can easily do.She is now sleeping all night in the crate without a sound. She walks as if she just won "Best in Show", very classy little lady. She is indeed a wonderful little companion.

Darla at her temporary foster home.

Darla has been staying with Ivin's foster mom until she receives her heartworm shots this week.  Karen says she is an absolute doll and Darla bonded to her right away.  After her treatment she will be going to her new foster mom for a month of rest while the heartworms die.  She is available after one month.

Darla arrived in WI earlyMarch.

Here are her arrival pictures.  So many dog arrive so fearful.  Darla was friendly from the minute we took her out of her little crate.  She loved being carried around.
